We understand that for many of our guests their dog is part of the family, so we say bring fido with you on your visit. We are a dog friendly country inn for small to medium sized pooches! You MUST PLEASE CALL AHEAD before booking as we have a limited number of dog friendly rooms.
Your BFF (best furry friend) is welcome when you are visiting the Deerfield Inn. With your pal, you can take state forest hikes, sitting outside on the porch in summer to enjoy a meal, strolling the historic main street and meadows, and letting them hang out of the window with ears flapping while you enjoy driving around our New England villages.
We are not big on rules, but we do have some for dogs. We ask that your dog be on a leash at all times on the grounds, in the inn living rooms, and on the porch, and it is the law he is leashed on the street. We also ask that you please scoop the poop. We do have a waste station with waste bags behind the carriage house. There is a one-time pet charge of $35.00 per dog. We provide a doggie towel for you to wipe wet or muddy paws and a blanket to put over the furniture if your dog has a habit of sleeping on the bed with you. These guidelines allow us to maintain our rooms to the highest standard, and our status as one the best pet friendly hotels in Massachusetts.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions about staying with your dog at our Deerfield Massachusetts bed and breakfast. We only have two dogs on the property at one time, so please contact us ahead of time to make sure we have one of our dog friendly rooms available for your stay.
Check out this wonderful dog friendly trail: The Canalside Trail is a 3.27 mile trail that starts at the McClelland Farm Road in Deerfield and heads north on the old NYNH&HRR. It is a great trail to take your dog and give them some exercise while enjoying the surrounding countryside.
