Five Colleges

The Deerfield Inn is no more than 30 minutes from all of the Five Colleges: UMass, Amherst, Smith, Mt Holyoke, and Hampshire. We have 24 delightful and comfortable guest rooms in our carriage house and main inn, and Champney’s Restaurant & Tavern is open 12:00-9:00 for good food and drink.

It can be a real pleasure to not go for cookie cutter accommodations and to discover this charming, friendly, peaceful, original historic inn the heart of a National Historic Landmark Village – 30 minutes away and 300 years back in time, but with the pleasing modern amenities one expects when one is away from home.
